Life in the Middle Ages explored in new game
Victoria, BC, June 24, 2005 –A new game released today by Outset Media takes children on a journey back in time to the world of knights and queens, jesters and minstrels.
Feats of the likes of Marco Polo and King John await them in Medieval Times. “With Medieval Times, kids can find out what people did during a fascinating time in history,” said David Manga, president of Outset Media. “Kids are curious about life long before cars and computers. And they have so much fun playing our games, they don’t even realize they’re learning.”
The game cards have illustrations on the front and questions on the back. There are two categories, easy and hard, so kids of all ages can play together. A question on the Knights card is “Why were shields painted with symbols and patterns?” and a question from the Village Life card is “How many rooms did a typical village house have?”
This game is from the Professor Noggin’s card game series. Its games have won ten major awards. Media and award groups say the games are great for travel, too. Professor Noggin recommends her games for ages 7 and up.
