Try new Lighthouse-opoly for a whale of a good time

Victoria, BC, May 16, 2005 – Game distributor Outset Media announced today the Canadian release of Lighthouse-opoly, the fun way to learn about lighthouses.

In Lighthouse-opoly players buy famous landmarks from coast to coast, acquire keeper’s cottages and trade them in for lighthouses. It sounds easy, but add restoration fees or lose turns for failed inspections, and it becomes a little more difficult and a lot more fun!

“This land-lubbing property trading game is perfect for those who love the keepers of the light,” says David Manga, president of Outset Media. Whether through dangerous storms, dense fog or darkest night, lighthouses shone a light on mariners everywhere. “Players can learn about dedicated keepers and the sentinels they tended, and have a whale of a good time.”

Custom pewter playing pieces like lanterns, buoys and bells add to the nautical nature of the game. Each deed back contains fun facts about its lighthouse. It’s all fun and games unless you’re sent to Alcatraz Island. But you never know, you may become a Head Keeper or be elected President of Boon Island instead.

Lighthouse-opoly is for 2-6 players, ages 8 years and up
