Canadian Toy Testing Council awards Three-Star Rating to four Outset Media games
Victoria, BC, November 10, 2004 – The Canadian Toy Testing Council today awarded its highest Three-Star Rating to four Outset Media Games. The awards are published in the CTTC’s 2005 Toy Report.
The award-winning games are Artifact, the hunt for stolen treasures, and three new games from the Professor Noggin’s card game series. Earth Science, Reptiles and Amphibians and Wildlife Safari were also singled out as great birthday party gifts and travel toys.
The non-profit Canadian Toy Testing Council is Canada’s authoritative voice on children’s toys and games. Every year, the council selects hundreds of toys for testing by volunteers. Evaluators assess each toy’s design, function, durability and play value. On the basis of these tests, the council provides ratings to help parents choose wisely.
“We are delighted that once again, the CTTC has honored our games with Three-Star ratings. We work very hard to create products with high play value. Recognition from a well-respected organization like the CTTC tells us we're succeeding,” says David Manga, president of Outset Media. “When parent s buy Three-Star rated toys they know they're getting great play value for their children.”
Artifact is an entertaining strategy game that sends players around the world to recover missing treasures. Professor Noggin’s card games help children learn and communicate while having fun. Games in the series have now won ten major awards.
Outset Media creates board games, card games and puzzles that help develop healthy minds in children and provide healthy entertainment for families. Its first game, All-Canadian Trivia, is a Canadian best-seller with more than 100,000 games sold.
