Scholastic Instructor magazine honors five new
Professor Noggin’s card games

Victoria, BC, October 1, 2004 – Instructor magazine has honored five new Outset Media games with “Instructor Best of 2004” awards. Instructor announced the awards in its October 2004 issue.

The five winning games are American Revolution and American Civil War in the Social Studies category, and Earth Science, Wildlife Safari and Reptiles and Amphibians in the science category.

Instructor magazine is published by Scholastic, the global children’s publishing and media company. Instructor invited dozens of teachers to Scholastic to review hundreds of new learning products. From these, only a select few were chosen to receive awards.

“It is important to us to create educational games that make learning fun,” said Outset Media president, David Manga. “So when professional teachers choose our products as top learning resources for their students, it tells us that we have succeeded.”

Professor Noggin’s card games have won several major awards from parenting, education and media groups for their educational and play value. “The Instructor Best award is further acknowledgement of the quality of our Professor Noggin’s card game series. It is extremely gratifying for us to have our games recognized by so many influential and respected groups.”

Outset Media creates board games, card games and puzzles that help develop healthy minds in children and provide healthy entertainment for families. Its first game, All-Canadian Trivia, is a Canadian best-seller with more than 100,000 games sold.
